Kuigi tollast \u00fcldist huvi Baltimaade vastu ei tinginud just kirjandus, soodustas aeg elavamat kultuuridevahelist kontakti. Ka peamine osa Viivi Luige loomingu t\u00f5lgetest rootsi keelde ilmus just siis: \u201eSeitsmes rahukevad\u201d (1985, t\u00f5lge 1988, 2. tr 1990), \u201eAjaloo ilu\u201d (1991, t\u00f5lge 1993) ning valikluulekogu \u201eR\u00e4ngast r\u00f5\u00f5must\u201d (1982, t\u00f5lge 1994).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annan oma ettekandes k\u00f5igepealt \u00fclevaate, kui palju ja kuidas p\u00e4lvis Luige looming t\u00e4helepanu tollases Rootsi tr\u00fckimeedias. Seejuures on minu andmetel k\u00f5ige rohkem Rootsis meediat\u00e4helepanu saavutanud eesti t\u00f5lketeos Viivi Luige \u201eAjaloo ilu\u201d. Olen seadnud eesm\u00e4rgiks leida Eesti ja Rootsi kontekstist tulenevaid erinevusi Luige teoste vastuv\u00f5tul.
